Gogglebox's Stephen Webb apologises after hauling woman into swimming pool after row

Gogglebox star Stephen Webb has apologised for pulling an unsuspecting woman into a swimming pool after a row.

The reality TV star, 50, is said to have been left fuming after being pushed into the water while fully clothed at an exclusive club.

However, he has denied that he had been angry and said that he took it in "very good spirits".

Those drinking nearby reportedly laughed about the incident, but Stephen went on to reportedly grab an innocent woman and pull her into the pool.

A source told The Sun that the woman had been chatting to his husband Daniel Lustig, 47, as she dipped her legs into the pool when Stephen was pushed into the water.

“She started laughing like everyone else, which seemed to anger Stephen," they claimed, adding that he "started shouting at her" and then pulled her in.

Following the incident at Brighton Beach House, Stephen told the publication: "I am very sorry if she felt upset or hurt by my actions. That was never my intention.

“I’d been swimming and having dried and got fully dressed, a friend pushed me back into the pool."

He added that he "took it in very good spirits" and that everyone was "laughing and joking".

"We’d enjoyed a really good time together and I felt it was all part of the fun," they added.

It comes after Stephen opened up about his life with Daniel, who he runs a hairdressing salon with in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex.

Speaking about whether being on TV has made him more aware of how he looks, Stephen told the Mirror: "No, I am clearly very happy with the way I look. Yes, I’m a little bit overweight and getting quite a substantial moob on me, but I love watching myself on TV."

While Daniel said: "Yes is the answer for me. When I first watched myself, I was taken aback by how I sound and how I look. But watching myself has made me respect how I look."
