Gogglebox fans hoping to see Stephen Webb in the new series of Gogglebox are going to have to do without him for the first episode.
The Brighton hairdresser, 50, told fans he'd unfortunately tested positive for Covid - meaning he's going to have sit out the show on Friday.
The popular character, who critiques what's on the box with his partner Daniel Lustig, posted a message on Instagram today from his bed.
Looking a little under the weather wearing a baseball cap, grey jumper and stripy socks he said: ""Hello, this is a message to the Gogglebox crew.
"Good luck filming this week. I can't wait to see you Friday. I need a laugh desperately. We can't film this week because I've got Covid."
Stephen captioned the post: "Gogglebox Back this Friday C4 9pm, gutted we won’t be back for episode 1. Looking forward to seeing everyone."
The hairdresser's co-stars flocked to his support with Ellie Warner, and Dave and Shirley, posting their well wishes.
While Ellie wrote: "Hope to see you back very soon! Get well soon."
Dave and Shirley replied: "It's a nightmare isn't Stephen, but it's a break for Daniel."
It was the Welsh couple who confirmed to fans when the 19th series of the smash-hit show would return.
The Gogglebox cast members took Christmas and January off – taking a well-deserved break from their TV critiquing.
But when Dave and Shirley posted a selfie on Instagram earlier this month, fans were quick to probe them about the new series.
Responding to when the show would be back on the box, the couple replied: "February the 18th I think xx."
Fans were delighted with the news with one saying: "Wooooo hoooooo can't wait. Missed seeing you two xxxx."
While another gushed: "so excited, can't wait. Friday just not right without googlebox."
Gogglebox returns to Channel 4 on Friday on Friday, February 18 at 9pm
