Gogglebox star Ellie Warner was heard chatting about her upcoming baby shower as she appeared on the latest instalment of the Channel 4 show. The hairdresser and her sister Izzi were seen back on their sofas on Friday night (March 24) as Gogglebox aired its latest episode.
And fans have been keen to hear more from Ellie after she announced she was pregnant during the series last year. The 32-year-old casually revealed on the last series of Gogglebox that she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend Nat Eddleston as her younger sister looked at her scan photo.
The news came months after Nat was hit by a car in a horror accident. "So I went for a scan on Saturday," Ellie told her sister, Izzi, who she has appeared on the hit programme with since 2015.
“It looks like a jellied alien! When I showed mum the picture, she said 'Oh can I take a picture?' and you didn't even look at it for two minutes," she continued to which Izzi responded: "I did! I told you where the things were, I'll stare at it a bit longer just to make you happy."
And when the Bafta-winning show returned last month, Ellie confirmed that she was having a boy as she discussed the new arrival with Izzi and her niece and nephew. Joined by Izzi's children, excited mum-to-be Ellie said they were going to have a male cousin. "Bessie, what's in Ellie's tummy? What baby?" Izzi asked her daughter, who responded: "A boy."
Ellie was beaming with joy as showed her growing bump in leather-look leggings. Izzi asked her daughter: "Are you going to say 'hello' to the baby boy? Go on, use your voice, say: 'Hello, I'm Bessie.'" Ellie then told her niece: "Do you know that the baby can hear you?" The sisters then tried to get Bobby to introduce himself too, but he replied: "No, not yet."
Ellie then again confirmed she is having a baby boy, asking: "Are you happy that you're going to have a boy cousin, Bobby?" but her nephew was too shy to come into view of the camera.
And now, during Friday night's episode, Ellie was heard discussing her baby shower when she revealed that she does have a rule in place which could divide some. "Have you seen what I've put in my baby shower group this morning?" Ellie asked her younger sibling.
To which Izzi replied: "Yeah, no kids except if you have to/don't want to leave them at home/can't leave them." Ellie then added: "Only babies, newborns" to which Izzi pointed out: "You should have said babies under six months because I think some people try bringing a toddler."
Ellie then explained: "Yeah but if it says: 'Sorry, no kids' then that's not a free pass to bring kids, is it? You know what I mean. I just don't want loads of kids running around." Izzi agreed, adding: "It's not the time or place, it's not appropriate!"
But Ellie then joked: "If one person has to bring the kid, it's not going to be the end of the world, but it's not a kid's party... it's my party!" before the two sisters, from Leeds, started laughing.
