Ellie Warner remains by her boyfriend Nat's beside and is unlikely to be returning to the Channel 4 show soon, according to a source.
The bubbly Leeds TV personality, 31, has taken time out from the show and has not made an appearance since Nat was hospitalised on March 18 following an incident.
Fans of Ellie have been sending their support to her following the accident and can't wait for her to return.
A source told new! magazine: "Obviously Ellie and Izzi are two of the most-loved regulars on the show, but it wouldn't be right for them to have to film a light-hearted show when Nat is in such a critical condition."
It comes after it was revealed Ellie is going to be taking as much time as she needs away from the show - and it's thought she won't be back to finish series 19.
An insider told The Sun: "Ellie's focus, 100 per cent, is on Nat and supporting him in his recovery.
"She's been told to take as much time off as she needs and it is very unlikely she will be returning during the current series. Producers have told her to take as long as she needs."
A friend of the star also told the publication: "Her heart is totally ripped in two by all of this and she is still in a state of shock about how things have ended up. Right now all that Ellie is focusing on is making sure she is there for Nat."
Ellie herself is yet to comment on Nat and his recovery.
He was initially placed on life support after being mowed down by a white Seat Leon on March 18, in a hit and run that left him with a broken neck and a punctured lung.
Hairdresser Ellie reportedly told friends her heart has been "ripped in two", with West Yorkshire Police confirming Nat is in a "critical but stable condition".
Ellie and Izzi are reportedly being supported by producers of the Channel 4 show, and are taking their "duty of care" seriously in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
Despite not being on the show, producers are reportedly paying Ellie her full £1,500 fee - to put her mind at rest about money, amid the ongoing circumstances.
