Gogglebox star Ellie Warner has reportedly been paid her show wage in full while she takes time away from filming to look after her boyfriend Nat since he was injured in a hit and run incident last month.
The 31-year-old reality star from Leeds has been absent from the Channel 4 series and on social media since Nat was rushed into hospital.
He was initially placed on life support after being mowed down by a white Seat Leon on March 18, in a hit and run that left him with a broken neck and a punctured lung.
Yesterday, it was reported Ellie is going to miss the rest of series 19, with sources now saying she will be paid her £1,500 show fee in full to put her mind at rest about money, amid the ongoing circumstances.
Show producers have told Ellie to take all the time she needs, according to a source.
A source told the publication : "Bosses paid Ellie her full fee for the show - they didn't want her or Izzi worrying about money.
"Of course they've honoured the payments - they take duty of care very seriously on the show."
Ellie herself is yet to comment on Nat and his recovery – but has reportedly "barely left" his side since he was hospitalised.
West Yorkshire Police have appealed to the public for information.
A statement released by the force at the time said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in the Halton area of Leeds involving a white Seat Leon and an adult male pedestrian.
“Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, which occurred on Selby Road near to The Woodman pub at around 00:10 this morning (Saturday 19th March 2022).”
Their appeal continues, stating: “The pedestrian has suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.
