Gogglebox sisters Ellie and Izzy Warner are much beloved by viewers of the show. Their no-nonsense take on the celebrity issues of the day is always a breath of fresh air when it comes to the sofa-based reality show.
But the Yorkshire duo, as popular as they are, may have gone a bit far this time. Appearing on Gogglebox's Friday (April 14) programme, the Leeds-based sisters were commenting on the steamy Netflix drama Obsession.
Described as a thrilling and seductive series about erotic obsession and forbidden desire, Obsession explores a BDSM affair. But the sexiness onscreen was not matched by the Warner sisters - in their humble opinion.
Izzi, 29, said in her familiar Yorkshire tones: "Maybe some people are just naturally sexy and I just don't think I am."
Her pregnant sister Ellie, 32, agreed in her own Leeds accent, saying: "We just don't have a sexy accent. I don't have a sexy voice.
"Nothing about me is sexy. I just cannot do sexy and seduction."
Izzi added: "Our accents don't help, do they?"
The chatty duo is always popular with fans and this week was no exception. Andy Gibson @AndyGibsonTV pledged his affection on Twitter, saying: "I want to go on a girl's night out with @EllieAndIzzi #GOGGLEBOX"
Meanwhile, Cameron @camy_934 took issue with the so-called sexy programme: "When are #gogglebox watching Obsession from Netflix? That shit was so hilariously bad I want to see the reactions."
