Gogglebox viewers have complained to Ofcom after being 'traumatised' by a scene that aired on Friday's show involving a woman and a duck.
As they do every week, millions tuned into the latest episode of the long-running Channel 4 show at the weekend, when the cast sat down and gave their opinions on a whole host of shows, including ITV drama The Thief, His Wife and The Canoe and Roar, a new Apple TV series that the Gogglebox stars and viewers at home knew little about.
The fact that the episode, The Woman Who Fed The Duck, was the final show to be given the Gogglebox treatment this week suggested that producers knew what they were doing and it certainly had viewers reacting long after credits rolled, after they saw a duck perform a sex act on a female character, as she began falling for him. Just like the cast, including The Malones, Stephen and Daniel and Jenny and Lee, people watching at home were left open mouthed and in a state of shock at what was playing out on screen.

But, while some saw the funny side, many were seriously disturbed and the predictions that complaints would come flooding into Ofcom proved to be bang on as the broadcasting regulator has received 140 grievances about Friday's Gogglebox episode. The TV watchdog confirmed to The Sun that the complaints "related to clips from Apple TV’s Roar."
Reacting to the clip on Friday night, one viewer tweeted: "What an earth was the show at the end of #Gogglebox tonight, I wish they would stop showing these things they could have at least done Doctor Who, I do hope that @Ofcom were watching." A second posted: "That show Roar. Is disgusting! Just seen a clip of a talking duck having oral sex with a woman on #gogglebox and I’m legit traumatised. #roar WHO the hell came up with that show, and WHO approved it! Yuck.
