Bristol’s favourite Plummer brothers will not be taking any parenting lessons from Danny Dyer any time soon after watching the EastEnders star on Gogglebox. The three brothers were clearly shocked to the core by the way the Cockney comic spoke to his daughter Dani as they watched a clip of the pair's new E4 show.
Danny and Dani are currently starring in a father and daughter travelogue. But close-knit Bristol brothers Tremaine, Twaine and Tristan were all left shaking their heads in disbelief after a scene from Absolutely Dyer.
During the Friday episode of Gogglebox the brothers were watching the programme as the father and daughter headed for a food market in Sicily where they are served up a mystery dish that turned out to be semen. But despite the food sounding horrific, it wasn’t the actual dish that the Bristol brothers found the most shocking.

What left them shaking their heads in disbelief was the way Danny tried to persuade his wavering daughter, a former Love Island winner, to swallow a mouthful. “It’s all on your fingers now, just put it in your f***ing mouth,” the Eastenders star told his reality TV show daughter.
The boys were quick to question his wording, and that wasn’t the end of it. Danny then praised his daughter for very reluctantly taking a mouthful of the concoction, by saying: “Very rare that I would be proud of you eating sperm. On this occasion I congratulate you.”
The Plummers looked horrified and Tremaine said: “You know what, that’s not just the kind of jokes you have with your kids."
His brother Tristan agreed and said: ”No I could not imagine doing this with my daughter, not a chance." All three shook their heads saying “nah” to indicate their disapproval.
And they weren’t the only ones. Other Gogglebox veterans were shocked by the exchange with Manchester mum Julie Malone telling her family that her father would not have let anyone else speak to her like that, let alone do it himself.
But a TV reviewer from the Guardian had a different take on the travel show and wrote that the close relationship between Danny and Dani is what makes it watchable. They pointed out that the pair are incredibly close because Dani was born when Danny was just 18.
They added: “They are also extremely open with each other, which means that by the time the first episode had finished, I knew that Danny has one large testicle, that he doesn’t mind telling his daughter about the time he got caught watching porn by his wife, and that he has never worn a hiking boot.”
Last night's Gogglebox show wasn’t a complete miss for the Plummer family. Later in the episode the boys could not stop laughing as they watched Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder wind up former royal butler Paul Burrell who pulled all kinds of weird faces during a task on I’m A Celebrity in South Africa. Tremaine told he brothers he could watch Ryder all day long.
