The two Bristol Gogglebox legends Mary and Marina have recorded a video message inviting everyone to a party once their coronavirus isolation lockdown shielding ‘custody’ is over.
But the two stars said they are being ‘very good’ girls by staying in, and have urged everyone else to keep to the coronavirus lockdown, in a heartwarming and funny little video message, filmed at Marina’s front door.
They are currently being shielded at their homes in a St Monica’s Trust residential complex in Bristol, and because of their ages, are not appearing in the current series of the hit Channel 4 show.
But after viewers expressed their concern about where they were, they made a little film with their friend Kim Coombes Parkyn, to reassure their fans they are ok.
“This is to all our friends who’s been asking about us,” began Mary, 88, who was filmed standing in the corridor the regulation two metres from her 90-year-old best friend Marina.
“But we’re hemmed in as though we’re in custody,” she added.
Marina demonstrated that they are keeping their distance - even from each other.
“We’re self-isolating, keeping six foot apart,” she explained, holding out her arm to keep Mary at bay.
“We’re obeying all the rules the Government’s telling us to do,” she added.

And Mary paid tribute to the staff at St Monica’s, the elderly people’s charity that runs homes and residential sites across Bristol.
“It’s keeping St Monica’s safe,” said Mary.
“They’re very kind in here you know, and are looking after us.”
And finally, Marina is looking forward to getting back to life after the lockdown, and is already thinking of a party - after a timely bit of advice.
“We hope you’re all doing what you’re told,” she said.
“We hope you’re all well. We hope to see you soon, when all this is over, we’ll have a big party.”
