Gogglebox hit with Ofcom complaints over 'shocking' X-rated scene

Channel 4's Gogglebox has been hit with more than 100 complaints after showing an X-rated duck scene.

The popular show came under fire from viewers after is showed explicit scenes in one of its recent episodes related to clips from Apple TV's 'Roar'. The episode titled 'The Woman Who Was Fed By A Duck' , shows actress Merritt Wever forming a romantic relationship with a duck.

Later, the clip shows the woman sharing an intimate moment leaving Gogglebox viewers in complete shock. And it wasn't just Gogglebox critics who were left gobsmacked by the episode.

Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has received a total of 149 complaints from viewers of the show.

User @yagorlbek wrote on Twitter: "Still can’t get over gogglebox showing a lady who met this duck at the park and took it home and then had s** with it.. traumatised mate."

Meanwhile, @AmyHowey16 wrote: "#Gogglebox should not be promoting shows that are basically insinuating bestiality. That was absolutely disgusting and wasn’t in the slightest bit funny."

@Mariespaintstop added: "@mariespaintstop #Gogglebox #Channel4 I’m not easily offended but last nights ‘duck thing’ was the most desperate attempt to shock. If a man was penetrating an animal, it would never make TV. VERY bad taste."

User @kixmrm wrote: "never looking at a duck the same again. #Gogglebox".
