Gogglebox fans wish Ellie and Izzi Warner well as they are absent from Channel 4 show

Gogglebox's Ellie Warner and her sister Izzi were missing from this week's episode.

It comes after sad reports that Ellie's boyfriend, Nat Eddleston, was in a major accident and is said to be recovering in hospital. The Gogglebox star has allegedly not left his side since the 'devastating' incident.

Nat is said to be living hour by hour in intensive care with a broken neck and collapsed lungs. He was reportedly involved in a hit and run while walking back from his local pub in the early hours of Saturday morning. He is currently said to be in a critical but stable condition.

Earlier this week, a source told the Daily Star that Ellie would be taking some time away from the show to continue to be by his side. They claimed that the show have told the sisters to take all of the time that they need. The source said: "Ellie has been told to take all the time she needs - everyone on the show is hoping and praying Nat will be ok."

Now, fans have flooded Twitter with well wishes for the family as they missed them during this week's episode. Fi said: "Sad not to see Ellie and Izzi on tonight. Understandable though, thoughts are with them #gogglebox"

Sara said: "Missing Ellie and Izzie tonight. Sending love to them all and get well wishes to Ellie’s boyfriend Nat.#Gogglebox" Meanwhile, Darren added: "No Ellie and Izzie this week due to Nat's accident. Hopefully he makes a full recovery. #Gogglebox"
