Gogglebox viewers were left fuming at the Channel 4 show as they aired an “out of date” Phillip Schofield segment just hours after his affair bombshell.
During tonight’s episode of Gogglebox, the show's much loved stars were back on our screens as they shared their reactions to the week's trending TV shows and films.
As expected, the first segment was Phillip’s shock exit from This Morning. The 61-year-old stepped down from ITV's hit daytime programme last week.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary hosted the first episode of This Morning after Phillip’s exit. Alison started the show with a tribute as she said: "Quite simply, we all know he's one of the best live television broadcasters this country has ever had. We, and all the team, wish him all the best for the future."
The Gogglebox cast were taken aback by the announcement as Pete Sandiford said: "Now we've brushed that under the carpet, let's move on to today's show." Giles Wood added: "Phil leaving the show is a bit like a glitch in the matrix. No one knows why it's a glitch or what's happened."
The episode comes just hours after more information on Phillip has come to light as the former This Morning host confirmed he had quit ITV.
He told The Daily Mail: "I have therefore decided to step down from the British Soap Awards, my last public commitment, and am resigning from ITV with immediate effect expressing my immense gratitude to them for all the amazing opportunities that they have given me."
