Gogglebox fans send love to Ellie and Izzie Warner as the sister duo skips show

Gogglebox returned to our screens tonight (March 25) and people were thrilled to see their favourites back.

Sadly however one Gogglebox duo that were noticeably missing from tonight's show were sisters Ellie and Izzie Warner.

It was recently reported that Ellie's boyfriend, Nat Eddleston, was hospitalised following a car crash in Leeds last Friday (March 18). As reported by Glasgow Live, the sisters were told by Channel 4 to take the time they need and not to rush back to the show following the sad news.

Other reports by the Mirror sadly say that Nat suffered a broken neck, a punctured lung and brain damage and is now on life support.

Thankfully he is stable at present and his family and friends are by his side.

A source told The Sun: "Channel 4 take duty of care really seriously. Obviously Ellie and Izzi are two of the most loved regulars on the show but it wouldn't be right for them to have to film a light-hearted show when Nat is in such a critical condition.

"Producers have made it clear there is no pressure to return to filming and they can take all the time they need."

Ellie and Izzi have been among fan favourites since their first appearance on the show having been part of the Gogglebox family since 2015.

Taking to Twitter, fans let the sisters know that they were missed and supported with many wishing Nat a speedy recovery.

One said: "I really hope Ellie and her partner Nat are doing ok following his accident."

Another added: "Thinking of Ellie at this time."

A third said: "My thoughts are with Nat and Ellie."

We are sending love and support to Ellie, Izzie, Nat and his family at this awful time.
