Gogglebox fans heartbroken over 'missing' star as they spot big changes for new series

Gogglebox fans have been left heartbroken over famous faces missing from the star-studded version of the hit Channel 4 show - and are not happy about it.

Celebrity Gogglebox is due to return to TV screens on Friday, and the show confirmed on social media who will be returning to the sofa to give their views on the week’s telly.

Sharing a post on the official Gogglebox account on Instagram, it was revealed Martin and Roman Kemp, Nick and Liv Grimshaw, Bez and Shaun Ryder, Paul Sinha and husband Olly Levy, Clare Balding and wife Alice Arnold, Big Zuu, and comedians Rob Beckett and Tom Allen.

However, eagle-eyed fans were devastated when they realised several famous faces wouldn’t be returning for the new series, including Rylan and his beloved mum Linda.

“They’re all amazing but am slightly heartbroken Rylan and Linda aren’t here,” one commented on the post.

“No Rylan???”another added,

“I love Rylan & Linda they’re bloody hilarious,” one sad fan wrote.

Others were disappointed to discover that former footballer Micah Richards wouldn’t be returning.

“Where's Micah Richards I won't be watching now. I'm gutted,” they fumed, as another vowed to boycott the show completely.

“I won’t be watching it now,” they fumed.

However, some fans will be very happy to hear that Rylan will actually be returning to the show in the second episode.

Other famous faces missing from the Celebrity Gogglebox line-up include Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aleshe, and viewers were disappointed the funnymen were absent from the new series.

“Where's Mo and Babatunde? They're my favourites,” one complained, as another agreed: “No Mo or Babatunde? They were easily my faves.”

Davina McCall, Tom Grennan and Katherine Ryan are some of the new additions to the Celebrity Gogglebox cast, and it’s rumoured former X Factor judge Tulisa Contosavlos will also be making an appearance on her sofa, alongside her N-Dubz bandmates Dappy and Fazer.

According to The Sun, the trio - who reunited last year - were signed up by show bosses to bring a “new dynamic” to the series.

“All three of them don't hold back when it comes to their opinions so mix that with the fact they are all related it's the perfect new dynamic for the show,” the insider shared.
