Celebrity Gogglebox returned on Friday, June 17, and fans of the show were delighted to see some familiar show favourites - such as Baz and Shaun from Happy Mondays - back on their sofas alongside some new recruits. And two in particular left viewers in hysterics with many calling for them to have their own hour-long show.
Springwatch star Chris Packham debuted on the show alongside his stepdaughter, conservationist Megan McCubbin, and joined first-time Gogglebox celebrities like Katherine Ryan and her husband Bobby, Jane McDonald and her friend Sue and Davina McCall and her partner Michael Douglas.

And while some claimed Chris and his stepdaughter got a tad too much airtime, others were delighted as the presenter, donning a NASA jumper, dished out a number of jokes. Soon into the episode, viewers took to social media to voice their opinions, with one calling Chris a "pure genius".
One viewer wrote: "#CelebrityGogglebox Brilliant @ChrisGPackham and @MeganMcCubbin this evening !! These two lovely people should have been on the prog. long ago! Yes, let's have 'Mice Matter' Ts! Chris's chair collection sounds fascinating!"
Another wrote: "At last, someone on gogglebox saying what I am thinking. More from Chris Packham and Megan please, there just was not enough in this first episode.. #CelebrityGogglebox"
While a third and fourth added: "I would happily watch an entire hour of just Chris Packham watching television. Brilliant. #CelebrityGogglebox" and "Chris Packham is an amazing addition to #CelebrityGogglebox. Love him."
And while many were praising the addition of the naturalist to the show, some weren't so impressed, as one Gogglebox fan wrote: "#CelebrityGogglebox Deary me Chris Packham is so bloody ANNOYING. Why is he getting so much air time? Had to turn it off. I’ll tape it so I can fast forward his bit. Get him off!!!".
Celebrity Gogglebox returns next Friday, June 23, on Channel 4 at 9pm.
