Gogglebox viewers have called for one of the show's most popular couples to be cancelled.
Fans were concerned by comments made on last nights show, and some have even called for them to be axed. The cast were shown a Good Morning Britain interview between Susanna Reid and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Susanna questioned the Prime Minister about what a 77-year-old woman, called Elsie, should do as she struggles to pay her heating bills. Elsie is forced to ride the bus all day just to stay warm, Susanna explains.

The Prime Minister responded by saying that this is possible due to the government bringing in free bus passes for the elderly. This response was not well received by most, reports the MEN.
Many were outraged by the Prime Minister's response. But the reaction of Gogglebox duo Giles and Mary rubbed people up even further the wrong way.
@laaaan12 tweeted: "Dear #gogglebox can you please just cancel Giles and Mary?." @E_Proudfoot said: "Time to f**k Giles and Mary off this programme. Their pro Tory stance, regardless of how guilty the Tory is, is sickening #gogglebox."
Mary said: "I am very sorry for Elsie but Susanna is making out it is Boris fault and like he doesn't care." Giles asks her: "Whose fault is it?". Mary replies: "Well it is the global situation." This angered many fans who took to Twitter to share their views. User @HellyB3 said: “#Gogglebox get rid of Mary.”
Eleanor Jennings said: "#Gogglebox Mary cries her eyes out at nothing every week until it comes to real stuff. Then all she can do is defend Johnson. Horrid woman." @JennyCostello slammed: "Is Mary being serious? She would NEVER make those excuses for anyone else."
@MsSC1986 slammed: "She’s a true blue through-and-through. It’s a pity. They are so entertaining, but the unwavering support for the Tories is troubling." @Gingerokda begged: "Please @Channel4 get rid of Mary & Giles. They are so out of torch & awful. #gogglebox
User Hannah said: "Can someone remind Mary that Boris Johnson runs this country and it absolutely IS his problem and his fault that an elderly women is riding a bus to keep warm bcos her heating bill has risen more than 4x! #Gogglebox". Another said: "Don’t know why I’m surprised Mary and Giles are tories but now I know for sure, I can’t find them funny in the same way anymore, bye."
Other fans enjoyed the varied response Mary's comments got. Twitter user @_MFrank96 said: "I agree with Twitter that Mary is out of touch and I certainly don’t agree with her. But the beauty of #Gogglebox is diversity and able to express opinion, even if it is different from your own. She and Giles can’t be axed because you disagree with them."
