'Gobsmacked' mum offers to give her kids away for free after they cover entire house in BLACK paint

A furious mum from Clayton offered to give away her two toddlers online after discovering they'd covered her newly-decorated home in BLACK PAINT as part of 'an art project'. Kerry Jones took to Facebook to share her rage after she was woken up to find her children had 'ruined the whole house'

Mum Kerry, 22, was woken by her partner Callum Sheriff Johnson yelling 'get up' before realising Lacie-Rae, four, and Eliza-Skye, two had left their mark, with black handprints covering the walls and footprints across the floor into the living room. Their black walls and ceilings paint from B&Q had also been smothered over the coffee table and 'brand new' £75 rug, with their sofas completely stained.

Both Lacie-Rae and Eliza-Skye were pictured covered from toe to chest in black paint and look innocently towards the camera with their hands completely black from their mischief. Kerry believes Lacie-Rae, who had been doing hand painting at school, had climbed onto a chair to slide the latch and unlock their spare bedroom door while her parents were sleeping, allowing her to break into the 'easy-to-open' paint tub.

In the full-time-mum's ranting Facebook post, she jokingly offered to give away her children as they 'ruin everything and think the house is an art gallery', claiming her couch, carpet, rug and four-month-old kitchen lino were left wrecked. Facebook users laughed at how the kids looked 'like butter wouldn't melt' yet consoled the mum by admitting the mess was the 'worst they've seen' from tots.

Kerry, from Clayton, Greater Manchester, said: "I didn't even say anything. My mouth was just wide open with tears running down my face. I was just so shocked. I thought 'I've got to record this before I lose my s**t'. Callum was going mad. He was just saying 'look at the house', but the girls were staring at us to tell us they'd done nothing wrong.

"They must have done it for about an hour. My oldest was busy making handprints and my youngest was busy destroying the whole house. Clearly they'd planned something in their bedroom.

"The whole hallway was full of paint and footprints, the brand new rug I was given by my uncle was destroyed and all my throws are ruined. I just want to cry about it. My daughter was doing hand painting in school, so she clocked on and thought she could do the wall. I couldn't believe she was able to open the paint. I was gobsmacked.

"I was furious but they're children and they don't understand so you can't go mad at them. My children are my life, so I wouldn't scream and go mad at them. I held it all in. Before I posted the video on Facebook, I sat on my couch and I cried for about 10 minutes, then realised my tears aren't going to clean this up."

Her and 23-year-old Callum have spent more than £4,000 decorating their bungalow since moving in in October, but now fear their £500 corner sofa is now beyond repair. In the hilarious clip, frustrated Callum can be heard questioning what the pair are going to do with the mess before ranting about how the girls are 'little s**ts' and are 'grounded for the rest of their lives'.

Kerry and engineer Callum spent hours scrubbing the house after showering the 'nightmare' tots, but they'll need to replace the door handles they say can't be rubbed clean and have needed to repaint the walls and skirting boards. The paint tub has been stored in the spare room for two months ahead of decorating the porch and hallway, but she now wishes she'd have left it in the locked porch.

Kerry said: "I am annoyed with myself. I should have put it on the porch and that's locked. Where the rest of the paint is. I just didn't think and didn't expect them to do that.

"I'm going to be showing it to them at their birthdays and weddings. I can call in a lot of favours and they can look after me. It's been a nightmare and a really big clean-up session. I said I'd give [the kids] away, and people were joking saying they can adopt papers to take them, but I couldn't because they're my world. I couldn't live without them."

Kerry's initial post said: "Two children for free! They will ruin everything in your house and think it's an art gallery. This wasn't even all of it. The whole house is full of paint.

"Both my couches are ruined, my carpets are ruined, my new rug is ruined, the lino in the kitchen is ruined. We didn't even know the girls were awake and the paint was in a locked room. Lacie used a chair to open it!

"Never scrubbed anything as hard as I could until today. They've done bad things before but this just took the p**s."

The mum added they plan to make a collage of family handprints to put up on their restored brown living room wall to 'remember the moment'. A B&Q spokesperson said: "Oh dear - it definitely looks like Ms Jones could use some help in reversing her surprise makeover. We’d like to offer her a gift card to help get her living room back to its former glory."
