Go greener with Ikea

Ikea is holding a variety of activities under the "Start Small, Start Here" campaign throughout March and April to encourage everyone to make every day sustainable beginning at home.

Both Ikea Bangna and Bang Yai have recently opened a green zone selling plants, pots and tools to help us organise our green space while Ikea Bangna has now got its own "buy-back and resell" Circular Shop that allows customers to trade in their unwanted Ikea goods for a gift card.

Then, expect to see the opening of the flea market with special workshops for Ikea Family members. The event will feature food, beverages and live music from April 1-10.

Health-conscious shoppers with concerns about our environment can now come and enjoy "Plant Balls", a healthy dish rich in protein that is made from yellow peas, potatoes, onions, oats and apples.

Also, prepare to enjoy the first Ikea Book which will offer a guide to transform your living and home to be more sustainable and green under the theme of "Us And Our Planet".

From April 1 onwards, shoppers at all three Ikea stores in Bangna, Bang Yai and Phuket will also see new uniforms worn by Ikea staff. They are made from recycled polyester from the old uniforms and cotton from more sustainable sources.
