A Greater Manchester Police officer has been sacked after being found hiding in a wardrobe in a raid.
Police Constable Elaine Taylor was found by her own colleagues as a search warrant was carried out on January 8, 2020. She had 'full knowledge' that a wanted person was also in the address, police said.
She chose to 'ignore' this, though, and was found trying to hide. PC Taylor - who served on the Bolton division - then faced allegations relating to discreditable conduct and honesty and integrity.

Yesterday (December 12), she was found guilty of gross misconduct. She was dismissed from the force without notice.
Detective Sergeant Tony Dixon, of GMP's Professional Standards Branch, which conducted the investigation, said: "We hold all of our police officers and staff to the highest standard, and unfortunately, PC Taylor fell below those standards. We remain committed to addressing any misconduct of any kind, at any rank, and will take swift and robust action to ensure we maintain the confidence of the public we serve."
