Many viewers tuning into today's (Feb 6) episode of Good Morning Britain were left cringing as a guest revealed just how much she adores host Ben Shephard. It all began as The Masked Singer star Daisy May Cooper ran towards the presenter while wearing a blanket around her neck, covered with pictures of Ben's face, as she was welcomed onto the set.
Appearing on the breakfast show following her stint as Otter on the ITV celebrity singing programme, the 36-year-old didn't hold back as she suddenly gushed over meeting her 'idol'. She even dedicated her recent autobiography to Ben - despite never having met him prior.
Explaining her excitement, she revealed her infatuation with the TV star came about when she saw him on telly when she was a young girl. “I've just never looked back since," she told him and co-host Susanna Reid.

She then declared to Ben: "You are the most beautiful man in the world. It’s like you've been chiselled from marble." Visibly taken aback by by her remark, Ben replied: “Do you think so? That’s really lovely.”
Turning to Daisy, Susanna then joked: “Have you seen his abs? He was once the cover boy on Men’s Health. Have you never seen this?” As the interview progressed, Ben began asking Daisy questions about the TV show 'Am I Being Unreasonable? - which Daisy co-wrote and starred in.
"Will there be a second season?" He asked her. After a pause she quickly apologised: "I’m sorry I just got lost in your eyes." Ben then told Susanna jokingly: "You do the talking, I'll just sit here."
As light-hearted and comical as the conversation between Daisy, Ben and Susanna was, viewers watching from home couldn't help but cringe.
@WarrenPeace_75 tweeted: "How is this Daisy May Cooper/Ben Sheppard thing being allowed to happen? It's incredibly cringeworthy #GMB." Jokingly referring to his wife, @HirdMaryhird penned: "Oh Ben corrie Mary is gonna be sooo jelly belly, me thinks you and daisy are in big trouble."
@Cooperg1979 put: "@GMB Reverse the genders and this would be labelled 'creepy." With a sick-face emoji, @Janetsjellyfish said: "Pass a bucket." @Anne39838450 fumed: "@GMB oh for crying out loud, seriously, thank god I didn't watch it, how embarrassing, talk about sickly!"
However, @Boppity_Boo34 wrote: "I can’t blame Daisy for her reaction to meeting Ben #GMB." @Shirlpuzz admitted: "Why the f*** am I getting tears at Daisy May Cooper meeting her idol Ben Shepherd for f*** sake #GMB." @Joaretz1 typed: "Daisy is hilarious. Love her."
Ben himself later went on Twitter to comment on Daisy's reaction. "Spent the morning laughing with #DaisyMayCooper and @susannareid100 thanks for all the messages - Daisy did get to keep the #benblankett just don’t tell #Mary," he said.
