GMB viewers feel Susanna Reid 'doesn't like' co-presenter Richard Madeley

Good Morning Britain viewers are convinced that presenter Susanna Reid is not fond of her co-host Richard Madeley, as they feel the chemistry around the two when onscreen is 'off'.

Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley are both presenters on ITV's early morning news programme, Good Morning Britain, and have been working together for many years on the channel.

But on Tuesday mornings episode, viewers weren't certain that the two are getting along, and some even feel that Susanna doesn't like working alongside Richard.

The pair have previously got into spats, with one being so cutting that ITV were forced to switch to an ad break, as Susanna called Richard out about his remarks on Prince Harry and Meghan.

Viewers posted on social media about their theories surrounding the duo's relationship, with one Twitter user writing: "I get the distinct impression that Susanna Reid really doesn't like Madeley #GMB"

In reply to this tweet, another said: "And she used to have to work with Piers Morgan, what has the poor woman done to deserve this? Never should have left BBC Breakfast."

A second user said: "When will @GMB realise, Susanna and Richard do not work well on screen. It just makes for awkward, uncomfortable viewing. #GMB"

Another replied: "Does anyone? The producers likely enjoy the atmosphere not realising the public switch off. Please switch off your set it is the only way to get the feeling across by viewing figures."

And a third wrote: "Honestly don’t know how Susanna Reid is staying sane with Madeley and his utter bumbling inanity. #GMB"

Another Twitter user even went so far as to say: "I want to punch Madeley every time he cuts people off, only to ask totally inane questions. How Susanna hasn’t yet I don’t know. I would rather hear what the guests have to say, than him asking what peoples favourite pizza topping is #gmb #goodmorningbritain"

Further tweets read: "I cannot blame her, the charisma of a China plate", and "Must admit he is easy to dislike, must be losing viewers by the thousands."

ITV's Good Morning Britain continues every weekday from 6am onwards.
