Weather presenter Alex Beresford has shown off his toned physique during a workout with his son.
The Good Morning Britain star, 39, has been keeping fit with his 10-year-old son Cruz over the past year and during the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sharing a flurry of pictures on his Instagram account from February onwards, Alex looks better than ever despite the sad news of his split from wife Natalia last year.
Showing a photo of himself and Cruz in his home gym last month, Alex captioned the photo: "Training with the best spotter watching over me. #fatherandson."
In another photo that shows Alex working out from February, he captioned the image: "Feeling fit and healthy has definitely fed my #mentalhealth this last year.
"Having a focus and not a distraction has kept my head up believe me!
"Also training with my friends and talking whilst we lift has been a great help to me.
"Find a focus that feeds other parts of your life positively. It's also the road to 40! Yikes!!!
"It’s still a way off and although if you asked me 10 years ago I’d probably say by this age I’d be slowing down, but my hunger for everything in life is getting bigger, so it’s just as well my metabolism is still so high.
"Yes I struggle with my weight in terms of keeping it on. Perhaps a good problem but it’s still a problem to manage when I’m working towards a goal.
"My main goal is to be consistent and not hit rock bottom as that hill is daunting and I’m not really a rock climber."
The photos come as fans of the weather man have flooded him with praise for being open about his mental health in lockdown and offering support following the split from his wife.
"It’s important to keep talking. Check out the @itv #britaingettalking podcast I featured on with host @kyliepentelow about a turbulent 12 months and how I managed my mental health," Alex had written on social media ahead of a discussion on his marriage breakdown.
Natalia moved out of the home she shared with Alex two weeks before lockdown and the 39-year-old presenter was heartbroken to be separated from Cruz while his with had coronavirus symptoms.
He told newsreader Kylie Pentelow: "It's been a massive learning curve, I didn't think at the age of 20 that when I was approaching 40, I would be in this situation.
"The age of 40, you'll be married, you'll be a grown up, you'll have a kid or two, your life is going to be set. I'm not old, I don't feel old, it's a bit daunting.
"But we've been in lockdown, so even if I wanted to go on a date, I couldn't go on a date.
"I don't want to grow old on my own, life is for sharing and it'd be great to meet someone in the future but they have to be right for me, right for Cruz."
