During Tuesday's instalment of the show on March 15, the ITV show was at the Poland and Ukraine border to see people helping those fleeing the country.
One of the many Britons who has gone over to help is David Fox-Pitt who is staying in the nearby village of Medyka in Poland.
David, who runs an event company in the UK, has gone over to help the refugees by giving them food, specifically pizza, reports The Sun
However, while the show was speaking with David, Richard interrupted the segment to enquire about pizza toppings.
He said: "What’s the favourite pizza topping? What’s the favourite pizza topping?"
David replied: "‘We do two. The favourite one is the pepperoni with a lovely cheese.’"
People watching the show were furious at the question and many blasted the presenter calling him 'ridiculous'.
One person tweeted: "With all the questions Richard Madeley could have asked about Ukrainians who finally get to safety, he asked what was most popular pizza topping! Idiot!!"
Another added: "Richard Madeley asking at safety camp, what bereft, frightened, war-torn homeless refugees FAVOURITE PIZZA is? This is a truly ridiculous man #GMB.’
Someone else commented: "Lord give me strength" adding: "Richard Madeley asking the tough questions on #GMB. "What's the favourite pizza topping at the Ukraine/Poland border this morning?"
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV at 6am.
