GMB's Andi Peters savaged by ITV cameraman as he makes dig in hilarious skit

Andi Peters was savaged by an ITV cameraman on Good Morning Britain today.

The competition king was in Belfast today, presenting the usual cash prize segment on the ITV show, when he got in a jokey spat with one of the show's cameramen, including the one filming him.

During a chat with GMB hosts Kate Garraway and Richard Bacon, he made a dig at the cameraman with him, as the ITV member of staff fought back in a savage way in the hilarious segment.

Kate started a link to Andi, who was with one of the prize winners in Belfast, as she said: "Let's give some love to Andi. He's in Belfast, he's doing a sterling job. Look at the beauty of him!"

Richard then revealed it was Tom on steady cam for him and Kate in the studio today, as Andi then added: "I think Tom on steady cam is brilliant but I think Ollie is better. He's obviously not in today."

Kate joked back: "Now you've done it Andi," as he praised Ollie for his great camera work.

"Tom, you're great," Andi said, "but Ollie when he goes around the back of the desk."

Richard chimed in: "When Ollie does it, he's that much steadier," as they all laughed over what happened.

Later, as they crossed back over to Andi, the cameraman filming him made it very clear how he felt as he defocused the camera, making Andi appear blurry on television screens across the country.

It comes after Andi revealed he disagreed with ITV bosses over calling cash prizes 'life-changing'.

"And I always argue saying 'I'm really sorry, £3,000 changed her life, she doesn't have to get the bus to work anymore, so for her it was life changing'. And it is all subjective. What is any sum of money?" he said.

Andi chatted to Kate and Richard (ITV)

"Six years ago, we gave away £1million and they wouldn't let me call the £1m life changing because – this is exactly what the lawyer said – 'if Richard Branson won, it wouldn't change his life'. So we argued back and said 'no, it would change his life, because in that minute he would be a £1m richer. That is life changing.'"

After the disagreement, ITV have now allowed Andi to call it life-changing if it's over £101,000.

"So now the rule is £101,000 and above is life changing. That's the new rule. But if it's ninety-nine (thousand) I can't say it's life changing," he explained as he revealed the show's strict rules in regards to the segment.
