Weather presenter Alex Beresford has said his goodbyes to colleagues at ITV West Country as he takes on a new role with the broadcaster.
The Bristol-born TV star has spent 17 years presenting the forecasts across the South West, alongside more recently a prominent role on Good Morning Britain.
Alex, 40, will now take on a new position with the ITV national news team.

"It's been over a decade since I've been working across the region and it's been the most amazing time," he told ITV.
"It's been a special part of my life and I'm going to miss it. I'm a Bristol boy through and through.
"The West Country is an amazing place to work. I'd never been to Cornwall before I started working at ITV West Country and I got to explore one of the best parts of the world in my opinion."
Beresford made headlines last year for turning on then fellow GMB presenter Piers Morgan and calling out his "way off the mark" commentary about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
He's also used his platform to campaign for causes close to his heart, from powerful discussions about racism to his stand against knife crime following the murder of his cousin.
Alex attended Saint Thomas Moore RC in Stapleton and continues to live in Bristol today.
In 2004, he started as an autocue operative for ITV West Country, before retraining as a weatherman.
By 2007 he was working on national television, and made his debut appearance on ITV’s Breakfast show, Daybreak, in March 2012.
However, it was Alex’s increasing presence on GMB - Daybreak’s replacement – which boosted him to fame.
