Glum Kym Marsh ditches wedding ring as she's seen for first time since marriage split

Kym Marsh looked sad as she was seen for the first time following her split from husband Scott Ratcliff – after ditching her rings.

The Pride of Manchester host, 46, was joined by her daughter Emilie in her first public outing after it emerged that she and Scott had split after two years of marriage.

While she has maintained a low profile, Kym has not yet addressed her split and has remained tight-lipped but her wedding and engagement rings were not on her finger during her outing.

Sources claim that their marriage had come to an end due to the pressures of work although "cracks" had been visible for some time.

The Waterloo Road actress opted for a casual look as she stepped out wearing a sweater and black leggings paired with a leather coat and white trainers.

While she rocked a small band on her ring finger, her engagement ring and wedding band had been removed.

Her caramel tresses were styled into loose natural waves, cascading over her shoulder as she accessorised with silver rings on her hands.

Her daughter Emilie was alongside her famous mum offering support alongside several friends as she swapped her frown for laughter as her pals attempted to boost her spirits.

Last week, sources revealed that Kym and Scott were heading towards a divorce following their lavish wedding in October 2021.

The couple married just months after army man Scott got down on one knee, with Kym appearing more loved up than ever.

"They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while and they were only getting to see each other for one or two days a week at the very most," an insider claimed before going on to tell Speaking to The Sun : "Kym's been so busy, and last year Strictly meant even her weekends were stacked up along with weekdays rehearsing."

Despite Kym living in the North of England, Scott's barracks were down south and he was deployed just days after they tied the knot, something which Hear'Say star Kym hadn't expected.

They went on to add that it was "sad for all involved", but they're now looking towards the future "which means filing for divorce," but they hope to remain amicable.

In the past, she detailed the "grim" reality of being a military wife, explaining to OK! Magazine: "We got married and then two days later Scott was sent away for two weeks and we weren't expecting that!

"That was a bit grim, but it's just part of being an army wife."
