Wales fans' worst nightmares looked to be coming true in the warm-up for their Six Nations opener with Ireland as Louis Rees-Zammit went down with what looked to be an ankle injury.
The 21-year-old winger was strapped up and played the first half but was unable to stop Ireland dominating their Welsh counterparts, with a 10-0 score line.
Wales have been ravaged with injuries with Alun-Wyn Jones the biggest name in a long list of absentees and Wales fans will be hoping that Rees-Zammit won't be added to that group.
The visitors had lots of first-half possession in Dublin but the ferocity of the hosts' defence as well as the crispness of their strike moves was evident with pundits lauding their display.
Irish rugby writer Murray Kinsella tweeted his view of the Irish performance, writing: "Ireland's forwards are SAVAGING Welsh ball-carriers at the moment."
However, former Ireland captain and ITV pundit Rory Best said at half-time that Wales had brought themselves back into the game, saying: "It's been a strange half, Ireland after that first 20-25 minutes would have liked to be a lot further ahead.
"Wales came back really strongly in the latter part of that first-half"
He added, "Ireland have shown some great stuff in attack and they've actually shown some really, really good stuff in defence as well so they'll be really pleased and will want to keep exerting that pressure.
