Glentoran boss Mick McDermott says no player is bigger than the club amidst reports Robbie McDaid is inching closer to the Oval exit door.
McDaid, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has been persistently linked with a summer move to derby rivals Linfield.
And last week it was claimed in the press that the 25-year-old, who has scored 71 goals in 177 appearances for the club, was recently told to train on his own.

Asked for an update on Glentoran’s YouTube channel, McDermott said: “I rarely speak about individual players because to me it’s about the team and the team is what’s important. The collective is the most important.
“Since the day I came here, if any player doesn’t want to be part of Glentoran, that’s fine, we move on.
“We are Glentoran football club, we’ll move on and if any player wishes to move on to another club, so be it.”
McDaid, who has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season, wasn’t in McDermott’s squad for Glentoran’s last league outing, a thumping 6-2 win over Carrick Rangers.
His last goals for the Big Two giants came two months ago when he bagged a brace in a 4-0 Irish Cup win over Queen’s University at The Dub.
Glentoran, who lie third in the Danske Bank Premiership, are back in league action on Saturday when they welcome Crusaders to the BetMcLean Oval.
The Mersey Street men lie four points off second-placed Cliftonville and five points below leaders Linfield with five games left.
