Mick McDermott says John Herron was lucky not to be sent off in Tuesday's 0-0 draw at the Oval, claiming that even Larne boss Tiernan Lynch knew the midfielder was on thin ice by subbing him at half-time.
Former Glens player Herron shoved Bobby Burns to the floor after the pair tangled before pushing the Glentoran defender back down as he attempted to rise to his feet.
The incident sparked a melee involving both sets of players, with Herron shown a yellow card for his actions.

McDermott said the incident was a "game-changing moment" as the two sides played out a goalless stalemate to end the Glens' title aspirations.
They can also now only qualify for Europe through the play-offs.
McDermott told Glens TV: "It is a red card. When you put your hands on a player twice, it is crystal clear. It is a game-changing moment.
"I think it says a lot that he was substituted at half-time by his manager.
"But, it is a red card and we will let the TV people take a look at it. People can watch it for themselves.
"If that isn't violent conduct towards an opponent then I don't know what is.
"So, I'd like for someone to take a look at it from the media and give us a verdict on it."
