Glentoran have announced a new long-term deal for Paddy McClean. The defender has put pen-to-paper on a contract that commits him to the club until the end of the 2024/25 season.
McClean joined the Glens in July 2019 and has become a pivotal figure in Mick McDermott's side over the past three years.
Last season the 25-year-old made 43 appearances across all competitions, including 30 games in the Irish Premiership. He also captained the side in the absence of injured Marcus Kane.

Despite some stellar displays McClean came in for criticism from manager McDermott following the club's defeat in the European play-off final. The defender was sent off for a clumsy challenge on Davy McDaid which resulted in Larne winning a penalty.
The Invermen came from 2-0 down before winning the tie 4-2 after extra time - Ronan Hale scoring all four goals.
The criticism sparked some doubt over McClean's future at the Oval, but the former Derry City man is staying in East Belfast for the foreseeable future.
McClean said on social media: "Delighted to extend my contract with @glentoranfootballclub. Looking forward to going into the new season hungry for success and continuing a good relationship with the fans."
