Key Rangers star Glen Kamara is reportedly a £10m transfer target for free-spending Ligue 1 side Nice.
The Finland international has been linked with a clutch of clubs this summer but it's claimed billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe's side are ready to push the boat out before the window closes. Kamara remains a crucial man at Rangers and the Scottish Sun state the Ibrox side do not want to lose the former Dundee man during this window. But a move would represent a mammoth profit on a player they paid a mere £50,000 for back in 2019.
It's been all systems go in the French Riviera this summer with high-profile stars Kasper Schmeichel, Nicolas Pepe and Aaron Ramsey joining Nice as they aim to secure Champions League football. And now Kamara appears to be on their radar, in a bid to strengthen their engine room. Serie A upstarts Salernitana retain an interest in him but it appears Nice are in pole position if Kamara departs before the window closes. The 26-year-old is under contract until the summer of 2025.
Rangers boss Gio van Bronckhorst would be keen to keep one of his key men ahead of a thrilling run of fixtures. The Ibrox side travel to face Celtic on Saturday before they kick-off their star-studded Champions League group with a trip to take on Calvin Bassey and Ajax next Wednesday.
