Glaswegians named Elizabeth can bag themselves free treats this Jubilee weekend

Elizabeths, Bettys, Lizs, Lizzies, Libbies and Elizas, you've got plenty of reasons to celebrate this weekend.

Everyone named Elizabeth can bag themselves a free cinema ticket - and snacks - over the Jubilee.

On Friday, June 3, film fans with the same first name as The Queen can claim a cinema ticket to a screening of their choice at Showcase Cinemas in Phoenix Business Park.

Then on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5, they will be able to claim a complimentary sweet or salted popcorn, while sitting back and relaxing in front of the big screen.

All cinemagoers need to do to claim the offer is show a valid photo ID, such as a driving licence or passport, at the cinema box office to prove their name is Elizabeth before claiming the freebie.

The offer will be available to anyone named Elizabeth, or a variation of, including Libby, Liz, Betty and more.

And that's not all! Côte restaurants are giving away free Tarte Royale’s to anyone called Elizabeth between 2-5 June to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee weekend.

All you need to do is present your ID to prove your name and get ready to pick up your free sweet treat.

The limited edition chocolate and salted caramel tart is topped with a fluffy and light meringue crown and finished with decadent gold-leaf filigree. Fit for a queen, we reckon!
