Glaswegians heard Arctic Monkeys as far as 30 minutes away from Bellahouston Park

Arctic Monkeys fans were elated to hear the rock band perform at Bellahouston Park from the comfort of their sofa.

The popular band gave an exhilarating show in Glasgow on Sunday, June 25 after taking to the Glastonbury stage last Friday (June 23).

Fans were overjoyed to watch the band, behind hits including A Certain Romance and Cornerstone, perform live on stage.

Those who didn't get their hands on tickets to the show were also treated to the performance, which could be heard half an hour away from the venue.

Kristina Bessell tweeted: "Literally 30 mins from Bellahouston Park and can hear Arctic Monkeys playing tonight.so wish I could’ve gone omg."

Julia Richards said: "I can also hear Arctic Monkeys playing in Bellahouston if I go outside. They got up here quick."

Andrew Montgomery added: "I'm in #Shawlands and I can hear #ArcticMonkeys loud and clear with my windows closed.

"No noise complaint from me. Tens of thousands of people are having a great time. #Glasgow needs more of this."

Kevin Jackson said: "Watching #Glastonbury with the back door open, and in the distance can hear the Arctic Monkeys at Bellahouston Park. Summer is great isn’t it?".

One person heard the gig from Eaglesham.

Another person tweeted: "Sitting in the garden, I can hear the Arctic Monkeys performing at Bellahouston Park, a good mile-or-so-away. Saved on tickets."

A third wrote: "Beating the cost-of-living crisis by not buying tickets for the Arctic Monkeys gig, and instead just opening my window to hope I can hear the sound of their tunes in the distance several miles away."

A fourth person added: "Praise be to the sound engineers and the wind because I can hear arctic monkeys playing fluorescent adolescent from 1.3miles away."
