The time is almost upon us. For those lucky people who managed to get Glastonbury tickets, the payment window to pay for them is finally here.
Glastonbury, of course, is one of the biggest performing arts festivals in the world. Every June, around 200,000 people descend on the Eavis family farm in Somerset for five days of mayhem and music.
This year’s lineup has already been released – Neil Young, The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo are set to headline – and competition for tickets is, of course, fierce. Last year’s general sale sold out in less than an hour, but buyers were only required to pay a £75 deposit up front (plus a potential coach ticket), leaving roughly £300 of the overall ticket price left to pay.
The bill for that is coming due next week: here’s what to know, before booking those train tickets down to Worthy Farm.
When does it open?
The payment window is open from 9am on April 1 until 23.59pm on April 7. It’ll cost £303.50, including the £5 booking fee, and you’ll be able to add car park tickets and refund protecting to the booking while paying your balance. If you want to change your delivery address, that can also be done here.
How can I pay?
Pay on the official Glastonbury See Tickets site – and this site only. Multiple tickets can be paid for by one person (as long as they are all the same ticket type, such as general sale), or they can be done by each individual person. Easy peasy.
...and if I don’t?
£50 of the original deposit will be refunded to the buyer’s card. The £25 outstanding is an admin fee, and that won’t be.
What happens afterwards?
You’ll receive a final confirmation email, and tickets will be posted to the address specified in the payees’ registration details shortly before the festival starts. Then the fun begins!
What if I didn’t get tickets?
Don’t despair: there’s still the resale. It usually happens a few weeks into April, where Glastonbury will sell off all the tickets from people who didn’t pay off their balance. Expect this to be announced shortly after April 7, when the payment window closes: there’ll be a coach ticket sale, followed by the general ticket resale on Sunday.
