Glastonbury 2022 has finally begun, with the iconic music festival opening its gates after two years of pandemic-related cancellations.
On Saturday (25 June), former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney conquered the Pyramid Stage in a headline act with surprise appearances from Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen. Macca followed Billie Eilish’s historic performance on Friday (24 June), when the 20-year-old became Glastonbury’s youngest ever headliner.
Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar is set to make his Glastonbury debut on Sunday (26 June), rounding out the Worthy Farm festival’s incredible line-up this year.
Weather experts are providing regular updates on the current forecasts for Worthy Farm (or, more specifically, the nearest village of Pilton) during the five-day event.

Wednesday 22 June was mostly sunny and “delightful”, with temperatures hitting 27 degrees.
Thursday 23 June was mostly pleasant, with an afternoon thunderstorm and temperature of up to 25 degrees. The Met Office had issued a Yellow Warning for thunderstorms.
Friday 24 June featured cloudy skies, which turned to scattered showers. The Met Office indicated a maximum temperature of 20 degrees, which dropped to a low of 8 degrees at night.
Saturday 25 June saw a couple of “thundershowers”, and temperatures of up to 17 degrees.
Sunday 26 June is expected to be a sunny day in Pilton, with scattered showers along the way. Winds should die down as the day goes on.
