Glastonbury reveller tries his luck getting into festival by 'dressing up as woman'

A man has reportedly tried his luck getting into Glastonbury - by dressing up as a woman.

The chancer donned a wig and a dress in an attempt to get into the UK's biggest music festival using a woman's ticket, according to reports of social media.

Posting to Twitter yesterday afternoon, @LoriHartx shared a video of the festival goer dressed up in his disguise while waiting in the queue, the Liverpool Echo reports.

She wrote: "Day 1 of Glasto and a scouse lad came up to me in a wig and dress cos he had a woman’s ticket and I got interviewed by BBC news straight after getting in."

The tweet, which has more than 3,000 likes, was then followed by a video that has had more than 121,000 views of the reveller standing in the queue with his ticket. Glastonbury issued tickets with photographs of the buyers on in an attempt to limit touting.

People jumped into the replies, one person tweeted: "Haha yes lad." Another person wrote: "We need to know did he get in."

Lori revealed she lost him in the queue and has left the majority of Twitter on tenterhooks as people wait to find out whether the man got in or not.

One person replied with a photo of the man sitting on the floor in the wig and hat with the caption: "Scouse lad bought a 40-year-old woman's ticket and gone full drag."

Glastonbury festival was approached for comment.
