Glastonbury Festival 2023: Tickets hidden within special Tony’s Chocolonely bars

Glastonbury Festival ticket resale is just days away but before that there is another way revellers can confirm a place at the event.

Tony's Chocolonely, Oxfam and Glastonbury Festivals have teamed up to give you the chance to win five pairs of Glastonbury tickets hidden within special Tony’s Chocolonely bars. A spokesperson said: "This classic milk chocolate with crunchy caramel bar may come with an extra surprise, and it’s not just the added pinch of sea salt!

"Tony’s Chocolonely has partnered up with Oxfam and Glastonbury Festival to bring you the chance to win 5x pairs of Glastonbury Festival tickets, hidden within these bars.

"They are only available through Oxfam shops online and in-store, with all profits going towards Oxfam’s work fighting poverty around the world. Join the hunt and buy a bar now."

The bars are selling for £3.99 each.

Fans were quick to respond to the announcement, with one person saying: "It’s like a real Wonka bar competition." The event is taking place between June 21 and June 25 this year, with Elton John, Arctic Monkeys and Guns and Roses confirmed as the headliners.

And for those who don't find the lucky ticket, you always have a chance in the resale. But if you are attempting to bag one this weekend, you should be aware of a major change in the booking process.

Glastonbury tickets with the additional coach travel option will go on sale on Thursday, April 20 at 6pm (GMT), limited to two tickets per person. The general admission ticket sale is on the following Sunday (April 23) at 9am (up to four tickets per person) and accommodation options will be available to buy from Thursday, April 27 at 12 noon.

This year, tickets have jumped in price slightly to £335 + £5 booking per person. The deposit scheme for tickets has now ended so those looking to purchase one in the resale must be prepared to pay the full price at once.

Tips from Glastonbury Festival on the resale

You must be registered by 5pm BST on Monday (April 17) to access the presale. The festival advises registering by Friday (April 14) to allow for the registration to be processed and resubmitted if needed.

The exact number of tickets made available has not been announced, like in previous years, however demand is expected to significantly outweigh the number of tickets available. Only a limited number of people will be given access to the booking site at any one time to prevent the system from crashing.

The page will automatically refresh to look for space on the booking page every 20 seconds. Glastonbury Festival advises that you have your registration numbers and registered postcode for the lead booker to hand, so you can input the information swiftly.

These details cannot be changed once you proceed with your booking. You should receive a booking email to complete payment (which must be done with 24 hours otherwise the ticket(s) will be cancelled). If no booking email is received, the festival advises you to contact the team at See Tickets via their Customer Service Portal.
