Glastonbury 2023 tickets being sold on eBay in 'rare' auction

Five pairs of Glastonbury tickets are up for grabs on eBay for this year's biggest festival. Tickets to the 2023 event sold out in an hour, but organisers have teamed up with Trussell Trust to auction off some once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Bidders will have the chance to watch a set from the Pyramid Stage viewing platform, introduce an act onto the Cabaret Stage, hit the ‘fire’ button on Arcadia’s legendary Spider stage and more. The offer is set to run from today (February 6) until 5pm on February 13 when the bidding closes.

The tickets are being auctioned to help raise vital funds in support of the anti-poverty charity with all the proceeds (minus auction listing costs) being donated to Trussell Trust to support those facing hardship across the UK.

Emily Eavis, co-organiser of Glastonbury Festivals, said: “We are really pleased to be able to partner with the Trussell Trust, who together with their network of food banks, work tremendously hard during these challenging times to provide food and practical support for communities all over the country. We hope this rare ticket auction will help raise significant funds to support their remarkable work.”

The cost of living crisis is impacting all of us, especially for people on the lowest incomes. Charities say more and more people are finding that their incomes cannot stretch to cover the most essential items, meaning they have to choose between heating their homes or putting food on the table.

Emma Revie, CEO of the Trussell Trust, said: "Between April and September of last year, our network of food banks distributed a staggering 1.3 million food parcels. People are struggling to survive amidst the soaring costs of food, energy bills and other essential items.

"We are extremely grateful to Glastonbury Festival for offering such amazing experiences and enabling us to launch an auction that will raise vital funds to support people facing hardship."

People who wish to take part can access the auction via the Trussell Trust’s eBay page via Trussell Trust | eBay Stores. All terms and conditions are detailed on each listing.
