Glastonbury 2023 is finally here.
This year’s festival will see iconic headline performances from the likes of Guns N’ Roses, Elton John, and Arctic Monkeys, alongside the likes of Lizzo, Lana Del Rey, Måneskin, Fred Again.. and Cat Stevens, Manic Street Preachers, Wizkid, Lil Nas X, Chvrches and The War On Drugs, and more. Last month, the organisers released the full line-up and stage times.
Every year, attendees hope it won’t be a washout like it has been in some previous years. In 2016, flash floods hit Worthy Farm, Pilton, the week before the festival, leaving the site extremely muddy. It meant that getting around the stages for the rest of the weekend was a struggle.
This year, the weather at this year’s Glastonbury Festival looks set to be mostly fine and dry.
However, showers hit some festivalgoers as they arrived on Wednesday, and rain is still predicted for parts of the weekend.
The wet weather will not dampen the heat, though, as temperatures are likely to exceed 30°C by the weekend.
What is the weather forecast for Glastonbury 2023?
A spokesperson for the Met Office, Greg Dewhurst, said on Tuesday: “At the moment, we don’t have any warnings for thunderstorms but there could be potentially some more that get issued and perhaps at short notice.
“Temperatures again are around 30°C at the maximum in the south-east.”
