Glastonbury opened to hundreds of thousands of excited festival-goers on Wednesday as the live music event returned for the first time since 2019. Hundreds of acts are set to perform across the 900 acre site across the next few days but there is one particular stage many will be keeping an eye - the Pyramid Stage.
Some of the world's biggest music stars are set to take to the legendary stage from Friday to Sunday, including big names such as Diana Ross, Elbow, Noel Gallagher, Crowded House, Kendrick Lamar and more. On Friday and Saturday, there will be performances to go down in Glastonbury history as on June 24, Billie Eilish becomes the youngest to perform and on Saturday, former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney will be topping the bill as the oldest solo act to take to the Pyramid Stage.
But there will be one indie-rock star who many will be keen to see play the main stage, Sam Fender. The 28-year-old Brit and NME award-winner was supposed to play the Pilton festival on the John Peel stage back in 2019, but cancelled under doctors orders.

Sam Fender will be taking to the Pyramid Stage from 8.15pm until 9.15pm - headliner Billie Eilish will then be joining the stage from 10.15pm. But if you're not at Glastonbury, you'll be able to watch the North Shields singer-songwriter live from Glastonbury on the BBC iPlayer.
The streaming service has a dedicated Glastonbury channel and if you're watching from home, it will be showing live performances on the five main stages - Pyramid, Other, West Holts, John Peel and Park Stages - in full every day. Alternatively head over to BBC Three in the early hours of Saturday, 25 June, 2022 from 12am to 1am to watch his performance.
It will follow Little Simz set on BBC Three which starts on Friday, June 24 at 10.30pm. The programme will also include highlights from Blossoms performing on the Other Stage. It is hoped the chart-topping star's set will include 'Hypersonic Missiles', 'Will We Talk' and 'Seventeen Going Under' which went viral on social media app TikTok.
