Glastonbury Festival has announced details of this year's Emerging Talent Competition, once again giving budding musicians a chance to perform at the hallowed event.
Any UK and Ireland-based musical acts of any genre can compete for a slot on one of the main stages at Worthy Farm and the competition is even free to enter.
Supported by PRS for Music and PRS Foundation, the winners will be awarded a £5,000 talent development prize from PRS Foundation to help take their songwriting and performing to the next level.

Two runner-ups will additionally be given a £2,500 PRS foundation talent development fee.
To enter, acts must submit a link to an original song on SoundCloud, as well as a link to a video of themselves performing live, which includes performing acoustically in a bedroom.
Once the entries have been drawn, a panel of 30 of Britain’s best music writers will compile a longlist of 90 acts.
The longlist will then be shortlisted down to eight artists who will be reviewed in the final round by judges including Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis.
This will then ultimately determine who the winning act will be after the live finals in Pilton.
Two years ago, South East London based rap and R&B artist R.A.E was crowned winner of the 2020 competition.
As a result of the festival she was due to perform at being cancelled due to Covid, she will be given a chance to perform on one of Glastonbury’s main stages in 2022.
On the Glastonbury website, PRS Foundation CEO Joe Frankland said: “We’re very excited about the return of the Emerging Talent Competition. Time and time again, we’re blown away by the response from artists wanting to win a prestigious slot at Glastonbury Festival.
"Having been lucky enough to attend the live finals in Pilton for a number of years, I know it’s harder and harder each year to choose the winners.
"But it’s so pleasing that thanks to the support of the Festival, PRS for Music and the talent development bursary from PRS Foundation, so many artists have been discovered and made progress in their careers.
“Thinking back to Declan McKenna, Flohio, She Drew The Gun, Che Lingo and 2020’s winners including R.A.E (who will perform at this year’s Festival), we can’t wait to see who comes forward in 2022.”
Acts can enter the 2022 competition up until 5pm on Monday, February 7 when registration closes.
So for anyone thinking about going for it, you'd better get cracking as soon as possible. For more information and to apply, visit Glastonbury's website.
