Glastonbury 2022: Little Simz confirmed for this year's event as Emily Eavis reveals when line-up will drop

Glastonbury Festival organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed when the all-important line-up for this year's festival will drop.

Taking to social media ahead of an interview with BBC Radio 1's Clara Amfo tonight (February 2), Eavis announced some big news for those lucky enough to have secured a ticket to the big event.

The festival will return to Worthy Farm in June after two fallow years.

Replying to questions on Twitter, Eavis confirmed some Glastonbury 2022 news will be given by the end of this month (February.)

The first official line-up poster will be released in March, with individual area line-ups to follow.

The full-line up plus times will finally drop in June.

She also confirmed that Rapper Little Simz will headline the festival's West Holts stage.

It comes after festival organisers confirmed Diana Ross will be taking on the famous Sunday legends slot on the Pyramid stage.

She was previously due to take on the Sunday afternoon slot in 2020 before Covid saw the festival cancelled for two consecutive years.

Ross is the second act confirmed for Glastonbury 2022 following the announcement that Billie Eilish will be the Friday night headliner.

As to whether the original 2020 Saturday headliner, Paul McCartney, will be booked again for 2022 is unknown. The Beatles singer was booked to headline the festival's 50th anniversary in 2020 alongside Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar.

Other names in the frame for Glasto this year include Coldplay, Lady Gaga and even an Oasis reunion.

There’s also talk that Little Mix might be available as they are touring the UK in April and May.

Adele has also fuelled rumours of a Glasto slot since her comeback album 30.

Glastonbury 2022 takes place June 24-26. The festival is already sold out, with deposits made for the 2020 festival rolled over for a second year.
