Following the success of his 2019 blockbuster, Netflix acquired the rights to two further installments of the series in a deal worth a whopping $469 million. Glass Onion received a limited theatrical release around the world ahead of its release on the streaming service, and currently boasts a 93 percent Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising its stellar cast and Johnson’s ingenious plot structure.

What is it about?
Intrepid detective Benoit Blanc finds himself at a lavish private estate on a Greek island, but how and why he comes to be there is only the first of many puzzles. Blanc soon meets a distinctly disparate group of friends gathering at the invitation of billionaire Miles Bron for their yearly reunion.
Among those on the guest list are Miles’ former business partner Andi Brand, current Connecticut governor Claire Debella, cutting-edge scientist Lionel Toussaint, fashion designer and former model Birdie Jay and her conscientious assistant Peg, and influencer Duke Cody and his sidekick girlfriend Whiskey. As in all the best murder mysteries, each character harbors their own secrets, lies and motivations. When someone turns up dead, everyone is a suspect.

Who are the cast?
As with its predecessor, Glass Onion boasts an impressive all-star cast, fronted by James Bond star Daniel Craig, who returns as southern detective Benoit Blanc. Among the new faces embroiled in Glass Onion’s murder mystery is Fight Club and Oscar-nominated actor Edward Norton, who appears as tech billionaire Miles Bron.
Actress and singer Janelle Monáe stars in a dual role as Miles’ former business partner Andi Brand and her twin sister Helen. Almost Famous actress Kate Hudson and former WWE star and Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista star as fashion designer and former model Birdie Jay and influencer Duke Cody respectively.
Also starring is Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline and Wandavision’s Kathryn Hahn. In addition to its ensemble cast, expect a bevy of surprising A-list cameos.
