Glasgow woman strangled tiny dog in cruel attack in Langside flat

A woman has admitted strangling a dog in her Glasgow flat.

Kerry Lang, 24, caused a Pomeranian dog unnecessary suffering when she attacked it at the Langside property.

Court papers state that Lang knew, or ought to have known, the act on the dog - now deceased - would have caused the suffering.

The charge says Lang "did asphyxiate said dog by way of strangulation" on September 11, 2021.

Lang pled guilty today to the single charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month.

Further information regarding the facts will also be heard.

Lang had her bail continued meantime by sheriff Gerard Bonnar.
