Glasgow woman's 'unexplained' death in flat 'linked' to police search at Mugdock Country Park

The death of a woman at a flat in Glasgow is linked to the ongoing search for a missing person at Mugdock Country Park, police have confirmed.

Emergency crews descended onto a property on Jura Street in the Craigton area of the city after receiving a concern for person call at 8.40am on Tuesday, April 25.

Medics attended and, on arrival, the body of a 35-year-old woman was found within. Officers are currently treating her death as unexplained with enquiries ongoing.

A large-scale search operation is also underway at Mugdock Country Park, near Milngavie in East Dunbartonshire, with cops treating it as linked to the death. Officers were seen swarming the woodland at around 11am yesterday, with a Police Scotland helicopter and dog units also in attendance.

Images from the scene show a large section close to an entrance of the park taped off as the search operation continues. Officers remain in attendance at both sites today.
