A woman has been left horrified after she found a large beastie packed inside her Greggs sandwich.
Louise Ross, from Bellshill, was nearly sick after finding what seemed to be a dead cockroach wedged between the lettuce and tomato in her ham sandwich on May 9.
Her friends had bought the lunch from their local Bellshill Greggs just days after Louise's mum died to make sure she was eating while planning the funeral.

Luckily, the 57 year-old opened up the sandwich to add mayonnaise when she made the gross discovery, which she believes is a "German cockroach", reports the Daily Record.
Speaking to the Record, Louise said: "My mum had died suddenly and my friends had brought the sandwich to me so I could eat something.
"I opened it later on to put mayo on and saw the insect under the tomato. I was nearly sick when I saw it.
"I've now learnt that this is a German cockroach. They carry disease so it is quite dangerous. I can't stop thinking about what would have happened if I crunched into that."
Louise immediately contacted Greggs to inform them of the discovery and had the quick thought to freeze the sandwich so she had evidence.
She claims she was later informed by the bakery chain that the insect was the fault of their lettuce supplier and was offered a £15 food voucher.
Horrified Louise declined their offer and raised concerns over widespread contamination.
She continued: "I think the sandwiches are pre-made in store, so I don't know how they've managed to miss that. I noticed it right away.
"All of that lettuce supply must have been contaminated and they have not issued any recall or warning. It is disgusting.
"That supplier can't only supply the Bellshill Greggs, it must have delivered to other stores as well.
"If customer care knew enough to tell me it had come from the lettuce supplier, then surely there must have been more than the one on my sandwich?
"I want people to know what they are eating and warn them about it. If anyone has been ill after eating a Greggs around that time, then that will be why.
"I will never eat anything from Greggs again."
Greggs say it is an isolated incident and they have no wider issues with their lettuce supplier.
A spokesperson for Greggs said: “We take all matters of food safety and hygiene seriously and are investigating this incident fully.
"We have been in dialogue with the customer and are keeping them updated whilst our investigation is underway.”
