A woman has tragically died after being rushed to hospital following a flat fire in Yoker.
Firefighters attended the scene on Speirshall Close at around 9.05am on Tuesday (March 7) morning after the blaze broke out.
Four fire engines were sent to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire and the 60-year-old woman was taken to hospital. It has since been confirmed she died late on Wednesday (March 8), the Daily Record reports.

It was confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death or the fire.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At 9.35am on Tuesday, March 7 police received a report of a fire at a flat in Speirshill Close, Yoker, Glasgow. Emergency services attended and a 60-year-old woman was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital in Glasgow where she died late on Wednesday, March 8.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death nor the fire. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.06am on Tuesday, 7 March to reports of a dwelling fire in the Yoker area of Glasgow.
"Operations Control mobilised four appliances to Speirshall Close, where firefighters were met by a fire within a tenement building.
