Glasgow's weather is set to turn scorching today, with the mercury forecast to rise to 28 degrees.
It comes amid an amber weather warning for large parts of the UK, with the Strathclyde region affected, including South Lanarkshire.
The UK's first red extreme heat warning has also been issued by the Met Office across a large part of England from London to Manchester and York on Monday and Tuesday.

While Glasgow has avoided the warning, it will still be exceptionally hot today, with the Met Office forecast predicting a day of wall-to-wall sunshine and very warm temperatures.
Meanwhile, tomorrow is set to be even warmer, with the mercury set to reach 29 degrees in the city.
People living in the Greater Glasgow area have been urged to take precautions in the heat.
The warning reads: "A hot spell is likely to develop from Sunday, likely peaking early next week, leading to widespread impacts on people and infrastructure."
It continues: "After a very warm night, hot weather, already underway across other parts of England and Wales is expected to develop more widely across Wales, southwest and northern England, plus parts of southern and southeastern Scotland. Some exceptionally high temperatures are possible, both by day and by night, for Monday and Tuesday. This following a warm weekend, will likely bring widespread impacts to people and infrastructure."
