A rare sunny weekend is predicted for Glasgow in the coming days, as temperatures are set to drop significantly by early next week.
Forecasters at BBC Weather have said that while it is cloudy with a temperature of 17 degrees today (September 20), the sun will return to the city by Friday, September 23.
And while the sun will stay over the weekend, the temperature will drop further until it hits an average of 13 degrees next week. Clouds and rain will also return next week, with moderate breezes across Glasgow by Friday, September 30.

BBC Weather meteorologists have said: "Through the remainder of September conditions are likely to remain changeable with further frontal systems spreading from the west and northwest at times.
"The wettest conditions with periods of strong winds are likely in the north of the UK, with the driest weather in the southeast.
"Similar conditions are expected into the start of October. Temperatures near normal throughout this period."

Cloudy with some rain at times across the northern Argyll, perhaps the odd heavy burst during the afternoon. Mainly dry elsewhere with a few brighter spells developing in the afternoon.

Further rain or drizzle across northern Argyll with a few heavier bursts likely, mainly dry elsewhere with perhaps some clearer intervals.
Fresh southerly winds across the Isles. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Wednesday's forecast
Cloudy with rain at times across northern Argyll, brighter further south and east with perhaps a little sunshine, although cloudier across the Southern Uplands with a few showers. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday
Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, spreading southeast on Thursday with some sunshine to end the day. Some sunshine on Friday and Saturday with perhaps a few mainly light showers.
