Glasgow weather as snow to fall 'within days' while temperatures plummet

Glasgow is set for snow in the coming days as the weather takes a turn for the wintery.

The city has faced wet conditions so far this year, with heavy rain causing flooding throughout. And the weather is set to remain unsettled, with the showers turning wintery and temperatures dropping as we head into next week.

The Met Office expects temperatures to drop below freezing, with the cold snap beginning on Sunday (January 15) and continuing throughout next week. It follows weeks of mild temperatures, with highs of around 10C in recent days across Glasgow and the west.

Weather will remain unsettled throughout the remainder of this week, with wet and windy conditions continuing as a band of rain pushes up towards Strathclyde, bringing blustery showers across the afternoon and into Thursday evening. .

Friday and Saturday are looking a little more dry, with sunny spells throughout and pleasant temperatures of around 8C, before temperature dip on Sunday.
